Australia boosts the resilience of rural retailers

Australia is committed to enhancing economic opportunities in Cambodia and supporting business owners to continue providing essential goods to their communities. 

 

A Battambang e-commerce start-up ATELIER distributes goods to shops in remote parts of the province. This helps micro-business owners – almost all women – to access varied products at fair prices.

 

ATELIER took part in the Australia-supported Cnai Business Accelerator, receiving tailored training and a small grant to expand operations. This service has helped shopkeeper Mey Prak to increase her profits and avoid long, costly travel by motorbike to restock her store.
