During her visit to Cambodia, DFAT Deputy Secretary, Michelle Chan, visited local social enterprise KEBORAN, where Australian support is helping to develop businesses led by people with disabilities. Thanks to Australia, KEBORAN is now hiring more staff and investing in rooftop solar which will triple production capacity.
Deputy Secretary Chan also saw the work of The Fred Hollows Foundation, an Australian NGO working in Cambodia since 1998 to improve eye health and help eliminate avoidable blindness. She heard from beneficiaries how Australia's support is strengthening training for health professionals and access to quality eye care. Together, these partnerships are helping build a more inclusive, healthy and prosperous Cambodia.
