Australia supports Cambodia’s clean water law rollout for universal access

Australia is backing Cambodia’s new Clean Water Management Law to ensure everyone has access to affordable, sustainable, and high-quality water. We are supporting Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation to roll out this law nationwide through a series of workshops.

The first workshop, held on 10 January 2025, brought together over 260 representatives from sub-national government institutions, provincial departments, and private water operators in Kandal and Phnom Penh. The participants learned how the law ensures water quality and improves coordination on water infrastructure management.

Through the CAPRED program, Australia is committed to supporting Cambodia to achieve universal access to clean water by 2030.
